Madrid Fashion Week also called Mercedes- Benz Fashion Week took place two weeks earlier than former years. Why? To make sure there was no conflict with other fashion weeks and attract more visitors. Madrid is always a pleasure to visit but if the fashion week is happening, then there is no excuse!
We want to show you what got our attention in the very colorful and imaginative stage.
THE BEST OF MADRID FASHION WEEK A/W 2018-19
MARCOS LUENGO
This collection was inspired by the artist Tadanori Yamaguchi, so has a remarkable Japanese flavor. He is able to transition from pure whites to very saturated colors.
ION FIZ +JUANA MARTIN
Ion Fiz presented two catwalks in one. The opening was a collab with the brand Smash full of metallics and shine, remembering the 80´s vibe and the crowd at Studio 54. After this, Bob Sponge appeared in all sort of ways. Printed, embroidered, silhouetted… all over the clothes. Fun and casual!
Ion shared the catwalk with Juana Martin. Her proposals were full of lurex, metallics, sequin, volume, and pink. A fun and happy collection where every possible mix seemed to work well.
MIGUEL MARINERO
The King of Leather is also doing an amazing job with fabric. He mixed wool, velvet, jersey, and of course leather. The coats were totally fantastic.
ISABEL NUNEZ
Red, Blue, and Mustard. Total dramatism with garments that had a reinvented 20´s flavor. The inspiration behind was the paintings of Tamara Lempicka. Just gorgeous!
