Who doesn’t love accessories? They help you spice up any given look. At fashion shows, they help convey the designers’ message, they finish the look, and let’s face it… it makes a lot of the entry sales for designers. Check out what accessories made us fall in love this season at New York Fashion Week.

THE BEST ACCESSORIES OF NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

SHOES

We saw boots, even in shiny rubber… although you are thinking summer and spring footwear. Check the boots of Calvin Klein to the ankle and the crazy high boots of Jeremy Scott or The Blonds X Disney Villains. Ralph Lauren went more cowboy style. Yiiihaaa!

There were a lot of flat platforms also… even croc-shaped (sorry, dears!). That was Balenciaga.

Fringes, tassels, and feathers were ever present. It is a girly thing maybe, but we love it! Prabal Gurung went for the feathers, Longchamp for the fringes, and Carolina Herrera for the tassels. Check also the proposal of Badgley Mischka with the cute ribbon on the side.

There were some graphic shoes that got our eye too. Sies Marjan mixed Sports with XVI century footwear. Cute! Do you image Maria Antoinette doing some running in these?

Tom Ford broke the mold and went with very elegant pointy – extremely pointy shoes. I don’t think my toes would fit in there but they look lovely! And we also have to mention the shoes of Anna Sui. 3D shoes and on top of that they look really comfy!

BAGS

Summer and Spring gorgeous weather is always great for fresh materials, like straw and Bamboo. Check the cute proposal of Badgley Mischka.

We also saw a lot of Fanny bags. These cute bags have the benefit of having your shoulders and hands virtually free. Thanks, Gucci for bringing them back. Now, you have to choose carefully, some look really crappy. (Excuse my French)

There were quite a lot of transparent clothes on the runway, and that needs a good transparent bag to go with. Check these ones from Brandon Maxwell or Staud. Talking about Staud. Check this fun bag!

Kate Spade showed this cute bucket bag in different colors. Really cute right? Sobriety came with Gavriel Mansur and his bucket bag.

Brandon Maxwell went the extra mini mile and did the most mini of all the mini bags out there. The Blonds X Disney Villains went also minimalistic doing a rhinestone mini bag with the apple for Maleficent.

Lol.. No, your phone doesn’t fit.

Michael Kors played the fringe, multicolor and denim in the clothes and in the accessories… same as other brands. But we loved the Jelly Fish bag of Cushnie and the feathers of Ulla Johnson.

Oscar de la Renta played a lot with shapes this season. We saw, square, round and even cage bags. All lovely!

Our super favorite though was Tom Ford black crocodile belt, and bag, and watch and bracelet… gothic, dark, elegant, sophisticated.

HATS

In summer you need to protect yourself from the sun, right? Well, the coming season besides the sunscreen you will be able to use these straw hats that are fantastic!

Check Delpozo Ribbon, Gucci, Armani or Jacquemus proposal. Awake seems to be targeting Marge Simpson but the hat is still worth mentioning!

SUNGLASSES

Baby! The 90´s are back. We saw very familiar shapes at Acne Studios, Fenty Puma, Prabal Gurung, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Sonia Rykiel.
