This exclusive jewelry atelier started in 1970 in Florence and now is selling internationally. Their customers know what to expect already. Fabulous show-stopper pieces that attract attention and distill style and status. We took our chance to learn more about them and their history.

Antonella, Who is Fabio Fanfani?
Fabio is our father and the name of the brand.
Tell us about the history and heritage of your brand.
The company was born in 1970 in the heart of Florence near Ponte Vecchio. We are a family business with a long tradition. It all started with our grandfather at the beginning of 1900.
Now you and your sister are taking over. What are your plans for the brand? Where do you want to reach?
Our dream is to create with all our passion amazing jewels for our customers. We want to continue the steps of our father but adding modernity and following new fashion trends.
Our product is very special. They are jewels made by hand, one by one. They are not the result of a machine. We take very much care of our customers and want them to be unique and elegant.

FABIO FANFANI´S WAY OF CREATINGHow is your creative process? How do you get inspired?
Whatever is new in fashion is inspiring us. For example the color of the season… Now is spring so the colors are fresh, close to the sea as aquamarine, tourmaline, sapphires, etc… so we created a very nice collection only about fishes.
We also take inspiration from music and art. As we are in Italy and in Florence, we understand very well the old Florentine style and we know how to incorporate it to our pieces.
There is not a fixed catalog. We change all the time! We keep on creating.
What about production?
Our production is completely hand made from the design to the jewel in the box. All the steps are followed in our laboratory by the hands of a professional group of people.
What is your philosophy?
Our philosophy is to enjoy life and shine with our jewelry. Jewelry is made with stones and they are the precious gift of our Earth.
What are your favorite materials?
We love diamonds. We select them very carefully. Technically, only vvs/vs about clarity, only g/f or more about color. And we love using color, so we give a lot of attention to precious and semi-semi-precious stones. We also love working with gold 18 kt.

What is your favorite trend now for haute jewelry?
We like the jewelry that uses classic diamonds and semiprecious stones because it translates into glamour and style.
Tell us about your “Beauty is emotion” (La Bellezza é Emozione).
Beaty is emotion is our slogan. We create jewelry born out of an emotion destined to give emotion to the wearer and the people around.
