You know how much we love a good interview and this one was one that left me inspired. Myriam Keramane is not only a successful woman, she is kind, humble, and full of good vibes.
When we reached her house, we were welcomed by the Briar Prestidge team, her PR agency. The beautifully decorated, ample lounge showcased 2 big portraits of her kids. Family is big indeed for Myriam.
As an entrepreneur myself I found inspiring the work philosophy and values Myriam has for herself and her team. We shared the same. Hard work pays off. Don’t trust gurus that say otherwise. Success is not something that happens overnight… at least to most mortals. It takes time and effort to perfect whatever your craft might be.
She started helping her mom in her saloon and ended up leaving law to pursue a career in beauty and hair. Her name is on top of all her products and now that I have known her, it is a guarantee for me. She really is behind everything happening at her eponymous brand and saloons.
From R&D to customer care, accounts to PR. She is a hands-on woman. I also loved her approach to beauty standards. The fact that she stopped using filters or photoshop in this day and age shows a real commitment to authenticity.
Irrealistic beauty standards are damaging our youth’s mental health… but also as adults we feel the pressure to never age, to always look fab. It is refreshing to see MyriamK doing her Instagram lives and stories showing her real face and her daily struggles. Entrepreneurship is hard. Motherhood is hard. But we wouldn’t trade it for the world!
