After the first article on the best of New York Fashion Week for this Fall / Winter 2018-2019, here you have the second part! Don´t miss the proposals of Tom Ford, Coach, Victoria Beckham and Alexander Wang.
TOM FORD: BACK TO THE 1980´S
The collection makes us travel to the 80s from the first seconds of the show. We saw animal prints like leopard or zebra in different colors like camel, black, red or even purple on jackets and leggings, dresses and blouses. We spotted black, metallic and printed leggings.
Fur coats and some masculine looks with matching blazers and pants made their appearance.
Tom Fords proposed also black jumpsuits in different styles and some evening silhouettes like the black long blouses with leather leggings also.
All the models were wearing black leather headbands with big rounded glittery earrings to finalize the looks.
VICTORIA BECKHAM: CLASSICAL COLLECTION
Victoria Beckham collection was classic and simple. There was a lot of monochrome silhouettes with dominating colors like black, green, navy blue. Victoria presented also long coats and long dresses to cover-up your self during the cold weather.
We spotted also a long leopard trench coat and printed silk dresses. Most of the silhouettes had waist emphasized cut or were highlighted by a belt. This collection is all about high-quality tailoring and the pieces are easy to wear and to style.
COACH 1941: WINTER COACHELLA
Stuart Vevers’ collection is a kind of Coachella but in winter. It is a forest-inspired collection.
In addition to the leaves on the runway, videos of forest scenes were diffused. The silhouettes are a mix of Boho and cowboy Southwest style.
The dominant colors were black, orange, camel or burgundy. Different fabrics like velvet, leather, fur were used. We saw mostly maxi long dresses or knee-length skirts with prints like flowers.
We spotted different bags and shoes with fringes to complete the looks. So a fringe bag is definitely a must-have this season.
ALEXANDER WANG YES TO CEO GIRLS
This collection is futuristic with some metallic silhouettes like those metallic dresses.
We saw a lot of black silhouettes, jacket dresses and also more evening dresses. Mini- skirts were part of the collection in leather or tweed. Leather shorts and blazer dresses made their appearance and even leggings. Jumpsuits were also part of the collection with a cosmonaut jumpsuit and a black jumpsuit leather perfect for a party.
This season leggings are back so you will need a legging in your dressing! Some models were wearing cat-eyes sunglasses to complete their looks.
This collection is about working girls and women empowerment. Even one of the shirts was scripted with CEO 2018.
So, girls, be ready to run the world in 2018!
