Dubai Modest Fashion Week will be running from March 7-9. Where? At the miX Alain Ducasse restaurant at the Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai. No matter if you are modest or not, if you like fashion, this is a catwalk you shouldn’t miss.
WHY YOU CAN’T MISS THE UPCOMING DUBAI MODEST FASHION WEEK?
There are many reasons but we will just list a few. First of all, if you like fashion, this is a really good curated fashion catwalk. Here you will find designers from all over the world that come together in a philosophy: dressing modestly. The styling is fantastic and the quality of the pieces are not to be missed. Be ready to see proposals from Australia, Indonesia, India, Jordan, Estonia, USA, Canada, Kuwait, Netherlands, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and of course, UAE.

This is the second edition in Dubai of this runway. But there has been already fashion shows in London, Jakarta, Istambul and New York. Dubai is the first city repeating as the first edition was a massive success. What to do if the emirates fashionistas wanted more of what they saw?
The masterminds behind this fashion shows are Franca Soeria and Ozlem Sahin. Simply put, these two ladies are two forces of Nature. They are passionate about positioning modest fashion on top of mind and offer amazing designs for modest women. Let’s not forget that modest fashion is really a big business but it was not showing much until recently. Thanks to the work and passion of ladies like Franca and Ozlem modest fashion transitioned from a small niche to a massive demand
Fashion for good
If you are still needing more reasons, this edition wanted to focus on how fashion can bring goodness. You might have noticed that the event is running over International Women’s Day. It is not a coincidence. They want to make a statement about inclusivity. So there will be multiple activations including a movie celebrating the global empowerment of women by Dubai-based film director Ines Sebiane. Also, the show from Markamarie will be featuring the Benang Project. The Benang Project is a fashion collaboration between designers & refugees supported by UNHCR. And last but not least, we will learn the story of Dream & Design for Disabilities. A project launched at Jakarta Modest Fashion Week to nurture the design talents of People of Determination.
