Yes, you read it well. We are getting all crazy and starting a podcast. We are very original and decided to call it Dubai Fashion News Podcast.
WHAT IS A PODCAST?
In USA is very popular, in UAE is barely starting. A podcast is similar to a radio programe, so it is an audio file shared over the internet. Although there are some video podcasts out there, most of them are actually audio only.
If we check the dictionary and get all nerdy, it is a digital audio file made available on the Internet for downloading to a computer or portable media player (ipod or now in every smart phone), typically available as a series, new instalments of which can be received by subscribers automatically.
Podcast talk about a specific topic: cars, healthy living, management, pets, love life… Ours, you probably guessed it well, will talk about fashion.
It is slightly different than the digital magazine. The Dubai Fashion News Podcast aims to share the insights of the fashion professionals, understand their journey, get to know them better and learn from their experience.
That is why we will be doing lots of interviews. We will have with us fashion designers, models, event organizers, manufacturers, fashion schools, stylists, make up artists, fashion photographers but also PR´s, marketing profesionals, retail interior designers, shop window display creatives, logistic specialists, shop owners, online start ups.. well, the list is too long to name all of them. But make sure you subscribe and don´t miss their knowledge.
WHERE DO I FIND THE PODCAST?
If you are a smart phone user it is extremely easy. Just follow this steps.
If you have an Iphone, look for the purple app called Podcasts. It looks like this.
- Just launch the Podcasts app from your Home screen.
- Tap a search method at the bottom of the screen. (that little magnifier in the corner)
- Search for podcasts by name. Here is where you write DUBAI FASHION NEWS.
- Tap the podcast once the app found it and look for the button saying Subscribe. It will start downloading the files. You will recognise the Dubai Fashion News podcast by the logo.
Our logo is also fresh from the oven and we love it. It is a tribute to Radio, a platform we love, mixing it with the logo of the digital magazine.
For now you will only find the intro or Podcast Zero. It is a little intro about who we are, what we intend to do and how we want to do it.
Every 1st and 15th of every month, your feed will get updated and a new episode will appear if you subscribed. So dont forget to hit the Subscribe button.

HOW DO I GIVE DUBAI FASHION NEWS A 5- STAR RATING ON ITUNES?
It is very easy too. These are the steps:
- Launch the Podcast app ( the purple icon).
- Tap the Search tab (the magnifier).
- Enter the name of the podcast you want to rate or review. Here you write Dubai Fashion News.
- Once the app has found the Podcast, tap on it to open the list of contents. You will find 3 columns : Details, Reviews and Related.
- Tap the Reviews tab.
- Tap Write a Review at the bottom.
- Enter your iTunes password to login.
- Tap the Stars to leave a rating (hopefully we get your 5-star rating yey!).
- Enter some text in the title and in the body write the full review (your feedback is super important for us in order to improve so be honest, even if we suck).
- Tap Send.
- and Khalas! You made us the happiest people on Earth.
Itunes takes 3-7 days to approve and upload the content but on the meantime you can listen to it here in the player below.
