On March 04th 2023 (2023/03/04), Saturday, sustainable brand Goshopia participated a sustainable fashion show at Hats & Horses – an event inspired by Royal Ascot – where fashion, culture, and the love of race and horses blend together for an exciting round of the Dubai World Cup Semi-Finals located at the Turf Suite, Meydan Racecourse.
Goshopia, curates designers following the 3’S, Slow Fashion, Sustainability and Social Responsibility, with the fourth “S”, being Style. The show prepared and brought the discussion of sustainable fashion and lifestyle to the table, where guests experienced a quick deep-dive into the industry.
With wowing an audience of the power of sustainability at Hats & Horses Super Saturday, the brand raised respect for modest and sustainable fashion, leaving a mark on the eyes of the guests. With eight luxury silk-satin dresses, hats and fascinators handcrafted with traditional techniques by artisans – Goshopia impressed the audience with sheer modesty and grace in preparation for the Dubai World Cup Grand Finale this coming March 25th 2023.
The ramp showed the audience the beauty and elegance of modesty while maintaining sustainability at the core of the design. In addition, a designated stall was put together with a wide selection of products supporting and advocating worldwide causes & sustainability.
Habiba Abdulrahman, a sustainability advocate and climate justice activist donned the catwalk showing how you can wear your values in style. She is a content creator on sustainable fashion and lifestyle on her blog, habibabien.eco and founder of Trashion Kenya, an initiative created to educate the public on the effects of fast fashion and plastic pollution.
